Researchers at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign have developed a soft acoustic sensor you can wear on your skin that can monitor your heartbeat and recognize spoken words. The device could potentially diagnose medical conditions or even allow humans to steer robots and play computer games without a handheld device.
