The thrill or emotion we feel when listening to beautiful music seems part of what makes us human. But that’s not true for everyone.

In Brain General Structure and Function, Brain Science, Senses and Perception by Brainy Days Ahead

To find out, 20 volunteers went into the lab with playlists of music they found most pleasurable to listen to.  Researchers measured the volunteers’ physiological responses to the music in a controlled experiment. The team confirmed that even though all of the participants were self-professed music fans, only half regularly experienced the curious sensation of the chills.
