Virtual Reality (VR) can broaden the range of “experiences” we have. VR researchers hope that VR design can be directed toward experiences that will lead us to making better decisions or feeling more empathetic towards others. One Stanford scientist deeply engaged in these efforts also says,  “VR is like uranium.  It can heat homes and it can destroy nations.” VR has to power to influence our behavior for the better and also the power to influence it for the worse. It’s great now to see the scientists weighing in on the good side.
