West Nile Virus – Delayed Deaths

Researchers at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital examined the deaths of West Nile virus patients who died months to years later, but sooner than would have been expected for their age and health. The research showed that the delayed deaths appeared to be more common in patients who had suffered significant neurological complications during the acute phase of their illness.
